July 2010
Well done and thank you to everyone who played in (or contributed cakes to!) our concert on 25 July 2010. We had 8 brave student performers this time.
Thanks very much also to Irene, Stephen and Sandra, who performed a fantastic version of Anything you can do, I can do better for us. We look forward to more family members getting involved in future concerts, hopefully!

Congratulations to Annie Quarmby, Ruby Swaine and Danielle Robinson, who all passed their Associated Board examinations in July.
- Danielle passed Grade 1 Piano
- Ruby passed Grade 3 Piano
- Annie passed Grade 1 Theory with distinction.

Congratulations to Jorja Bolton who took her Grade 1 Piano at the end of June, passing with Merit.

Congratulations to Leila Fisher, Eloise Bellwood, Annie Quarmby, Claudia Lai and Ruby Swaine who all performed in the Huddersfield Grammar School Festival on 22-23 May.
- Second Place, and a distinction certificate was awarded to:
- Leila for her performance of Boating Lake in the 8 years and under Classical Piano Solo (Novice) class;
- Second Place, and a merit certificate was awarded to:
- Claudia for her performance of Mozzie in the 8 years and under Popular Piano Solo class.
- Claudia for her performance of Mozzie in the 8 years and under Popular Piano Solo class.
- Third Place, and a distinction certificate was awarded to:
- Claudia for her performance of Menuet in the 8 years and under Classical Piano Solo class.
- Claudia for her performance of Menuet in the 8 years and under Classical Piano Solo class.
- Credit Certificates were awarded to:
- Eloise for her performance of Paperchase in the under 11s Classical Piano Solo class;
- Annie for her performances of L'Autunno and It's Cool Man in the under 9s Piano Solo classes (classical and popular);
- Ruby for her performance of Top Cat in the 12-14 Popular Piano class.
March 2010
Congratulations to all those who passed Associated Board exams in March:
- Leila Fisher and Eloise Bellwood successfully took their Prep Tests;
- Annie Quarmby passed Grade 1 Piano;
- Alexandra Shaw passed Grade 5 Clarinet.
February 2010
Congratulations to Annie Quarmby, Claudia Lai and Alexandra Shaw who all performed in the Mrs Sunderland Festival at Huddersfield Town Hall at the end of February.
- Annie was awarded a commendation certificate for her performance of In The Pink in the Year 4 and under piano solo class;
- Claudia was awarded a commendation certification for her performance of Tarantella in the Year 5 and under piano solo class;
- Alex was awarded joint 3rd place in the Year 10 and under woodwind solo class for her performance of Burlesque.
